Birth Services
I love the babies. And I believe in giving them the gentlest possible welcome to this world. But In order to do that, their mother must feel informed, loved and respected.
This is a rite of passage I am honored to hold space for with my clients.
In Greek the word doula means, "woman servant." But we are much more than that.
A doula is someone who deeply respects birth and holds a loving, non-judgmental space for new families to find their way. A doctor or midwife’s focus is physical health of mother and baby. A doula’s priority is emotionally supported parents who feel informed about their choices before, during and after birth. We remember the chapstick, the ice chips, the massage oil and the snacks… and we’re with you from start to finish.
A doula's training in the progression of labor helps parents relax into what’s happening. We are also trained to provide hands on support and comfort measures during labor (if that is desired) to help you through the toughest moments. Our experience attending births helps mothers trust that whatever they’re experiencing is a variation of normal. Trust me, there is no such thing as a weird question, feeling or fear when it comes to birth.
My experience as a DONA certified doula and my knowledge of breathwork, nutrition and herbalism helps me prepare families for birth and a healthy postpartum period with effective, holistic tools. While these can help if your goal is a non-medicated birth, I support whatever your preferences may be and however your birth journey unfolds. Birth is sacred. All the time, everytime.

sibling Doula Services
Birth is a big transition for the whole family… If you have an older child or children, you may be in need of a sibling doula to provide them constant care throughout your birth and early postpartum period. This is agreat option if you don’t have nearby family or a trusted person who can be there in a moment’s notice and for an indeterminate amount of time. In this case I’m your person. I will remain on-call from 37-42 weeks as your older child or children’s care provider throughout your birth. We will keep up with the daily routine while infusing it with excitement about what’s to come. My experience with both birth and children helps me nurture siblings through this transition while preparing them to receive the new baby into the family. Together we will make a plan ahead of time on how to best support your family and create a peaceful environment for you to return to, whether that means cleaning up your nest or preparing a nourishing meal. By hiring someone to cover this need for your family, you can fully immerse in your birth knowing you other children are well cared for and prepared for this transition.
